Reading-wise, I really enjoyed April (non-reading wise, I enjoyed it very much too, but let’s keep on topic) and read:

It was an eclectic little mix of Graham Norton’s dulcet tones reading his audiobook to me, two very different memoirs, a book that Bookstagram tricked me into thinking was worth a read (yes, I mean you Caraval) and three great novels.

However, this month, I made a woeful attempt at the TBR list I put up in my last monthly review, only actually reading one book that was in my original stack! It is not that I don’t want to read the others, it’s just that, for various reasons, I got drawn to the above list instead!

Due to this I have decided to not really give myself monthly TBR lists anymore, just set out a few books I know I’m starting with or have already started so, inspired by The Bailey’s Prize nominees, they are:

  • The Power by Naomi Alderman
  • The Dark Circle by Linda Grant
  • The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O’Neill

Hope you all have a great reading month!
